A life built
around sound
It all started with a NAD-302 that burned up almost two decades ago. When I started to get seriously interested in HiFi and bought some of the most expensive equipment I now own, I started from the last thing I should have cared about, which was a very expensive set of cables. It took me about ten years to get my HiFi setup as perfect as it can be.
Some people might call it learning by experience. I did not learn so much by trial and error, but rather as a professional — by helping thousands of audio enthusiasts with their HiFi setups, having access to all the latest equipment from all major factories, and going to every major conference.
Early on in my career I learned to call back customers to know whether they were happy with the equipment they purchased. This made me realize that most sellers don’t receive feedback from what they have sold. It also helped me build a big network of happy friends that also happened to be customers.
With time, I have learned about many of the common pitfalls clients have experienced. There is so much noise and misinformation on the open internet that it is difficult to discuss high end, highly expensive gear in an objective way. The open internet is simply not a good place to talk about our passion.
Serving as a Bass Trumpet player in His Majesty’s King’s Guard in Norway, Øystein had the rare privilege of performing during the 60th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, where world leaders gathered to commemorate one of history’s most significant events. The experience taught him precision, discipline, and the importance of delivering excellence under pressure.
After military service, Øystein pursued electrical engineering studies. But after moving into his own home, he could not find a sound system that truly satisfied his expectations. Instead of accepting compromise, he immersed himself in understanding premium audio. On July 14, 2010, he left engineering behind and entered the high-end audio industry full time.

As a professional loudspeaker designer, I use my system not only to enjoy the music I love, but also as a referencing tool when designing and voicing loudspeakers. Accordingly, it is a system I am very attuned to and sensitive to changes within. In the space of around just 30 minutes, Øystein performed a series of intuitive tweaks and adjustments, which had a transformative effect on the performance of my system.
Øystein possesses an innate ability and sense of intuition, honed through decades of hands-on experience, enabling him to fine-tune already excellent-sounding systems into outstanding ones. He works with a reassuring level of confidence, explaining his illuminating methodology throughout the process.

Since moving to Dubai in early 2025, I have helped audiophiles from several different Middle Eastern countries build wonderful home audio systems. I am able to demonstrate what I believe is the world's best home audio system in a prestigious five-star hotel in Habtoor City, Dubai.
